Go Lions Go....

Culture is Good

We headed downtown to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) to check out the latest exhibit - "Rembrandt and the Faces of Jesus." The girls were really well behaved which allowed us to take our time and not rush, chase, scream, cry. The only one that had security on them was Mary..."Maam, please don't touch the painting" Note: for everyone out there who's thinking of heading to the museum with Mary - be prepared...she is the slowest patron ever! She's acts like some art history scholar or investor....she reads EVERY single sign next to every single picture. It was fine the first 7 years of our relationship, but now when I'm pushing a stroller with one hand and carrying Leni with the other - it gets to be a little much. (Mary had her museum headphones and TV with her so she could get the full experience.)

We've been spending quite a bit of time at the DIA. This last time we walked in Leni asked "How many times we going to come here" I guess that's good.

We're just happy she's not scared from the last time...you know, the puppet show incident.
mentle note: Puppets freak Elena out (and we, along with EVERYONE in that theatre, learned the hard way)
